New test of the board (evo 6 7.8 / 8.6) (sl2 38 - sf 40)

At my weight and level I find this board very good for 75% 7.8 use with 38 fin. Meaning you want sail this combo in wind never less than 15-16 kts up to 20-22 kts .
I think the 8.6 can be heavy if the wind is not minimum 13 kts steady. I think the best use of 8.6 is in 13-14 up to gusty 20.
No chance to test the 7.0.
Found it get you in trouble if you wrong rig choice (if performance is the goal).
At the moment the big concern is the rails sometime catches, destabilizing the sailor. Couldn't sort this issue out so far.

Overall i think it's a good option to those fat 70-72 cm wide middle boards, in my view, better targeted to tall powerfull guys wanting use the 8.6 in down wind courses.

110/8.6 e6/sf40/132/position 2/12-14 kts side messy chop

Just wanted test if the combo could work. Yes, it can. And also very good. Made everything I needed (also comparing performance between marks vs bigger combos).

Amazingly surprised.

110/7.1 kar/cl35 20-30 kts side shore small rolling chop

6.3 day but wanted to find the combo limit and figure out if the board could be good also with the 7.1 . Yes, it is good for sure (in this water state). Hairy at times but still good (thx also to the sail and fin combination). Same speed (sometimes better comfort) than other 70cm boards. Gybes were super smooth (off course not super tight. In my opinion the better the leech is the better you engage the rail while turning in that wind.
Tracking was solid and with no bounce, no rail to rail (still, that is the fin as the new 114/aero 7.1 was much more flying object).
If you sail in condition like that next smaller board size could be the 90l.
Same level people in the water, fanatic/north guy gave up first. Great session from new jp71/7.8 (!!!).
