Cross off shore wind 20-30 knt,stupid lateral chop.
Isonic 111,Tectonic tomcat 38.
Sailor 80 kg.
Setting:
mast: 460 + 0,5/1 cm.The 28 cm np extension was set + 2 cm.
boom: 202

It was since december I haven't sailed a similar size.Benchmark is the Vapor 6,7 '08.In the beginning I needed to find the right boom height/mast base.
According with the condition there was no power problem and the sail keep going pretty quick but without pulling you away.It's a smooth traction even if the Np feeling (fortunately) is still present.Whaile sailing you'll easily note how much the DCC works.It's impressive watching the end of the batten flexing downwind...
Reaching is FAST.Can't really say if faster than the Vapor so far but surely smoother.Basically you haven't too much to take care but your ride.Sometimes I had the feeling the sail didn't point right but it was because gusts came from different angles so,when I was together with my buddies,I realized everybody hed the same feeling.
There's a huge potential for the V-max because you can relax a bit more while riding.
Ok,it really does need to get used to the DCC power releasing before fully relaxing but it's matter of few times.
In fact it's very different than anything ever tried and I guess this power/feeling delivery can change very much as long as you differently set your DH and OH.
I think there are 2 ways of tuning this sail:
the "classic" one (with lot of DH and neutral OH -my preferred one so far-) and the "new" one (with less DH and a bit of positive OH -letting the DCC making the job for you-).
In my opinion if you don't right DH the sail tends to pull too much in the front arm.Then,or you're strong and rise up the boom height even in strong wind or your board nose is going to stick too much in the water and you'll dramatically slow down.
Gybe is a joy.The leech follows your move progressively opening.This addicted to the sail lightness will make your gybes much more sharp and fast.Cams rotation is not so smooth as hte EVO I but it's nothing terrific.
I was scared but I have to say that there's no problem (of coure the wind strenght helped me a lot).Probably the more the sail is used the more rotation will improve.
I'd like to spend also some words on the new mast.It's heavier and the side walls seem thickier.It let me think at a more reliable product.
In my opinion the 7,0 need to be rigged with the 460.I guess that the 430 will be right only if you're lighter than 70 kg.
Please DON'T over DH the sail.You're gonna kill the sail.Watch out to the leech and body tension...

So far I'm happy of the sail.

ça crée toujours de vives reactions mais cela est possible, à 20/30 knt je suis en 6.8, manta 74 et S07 39 mais par contre en survie!( trés rare chez nous donc je ne vais pas investir dans une plus petites voile :wink:

à 20/30 noeud 6,8 il pèse 100 kg.
personne pour traduire.

second sailing day with the sail.
It''s stretching and it's better balanced now.Still 460+0,5 and no control/power/speed problem.
Rotation is ok (better than first time) even if still a bit sharp.
If I have to say upwind and "traverse" is like evo I but downwind the sail seems to have an overboost....

Je ne vois pas trop où est le problème avec cette taille de matos et un vent entre 20 et 30 nœuds. Pour les gens du Sud, on ne parle pas de vent établi entre 20 et 30 nœuds avec rafales à 30-40... :lol:

Effectivement, la Pryde 7.0 ce tien TRES loin même pour un gabari plutot légers 67kg par 25/30knts en gardant de la patate et le tout avec une impression de souplesse!
A noté je naviguais sans difficultée même plutot performant avec le combo RSR evo 2 7.0/ray 110 alros que les autre était en 5.5/5.8!
ET nono, de Planchemag et ses 110kg m'avoura "être à bloc" avec le même combo que moi!
D'la Bombe ces Pryde!!

5.5 Vapor 2008, RS mK3 5.5, WARP 09 5.7, RSR 2008 5.8, TR3 5.9, RSR evo 1 6.2.
Warp sl 56pm, is sonic 86 2009, tb2 58 manta 59...
Poid variable de 70 à 90kg pour le mec en 6.2! Niveau slalomeur confirmé!

Et moi 67kg en 7.0 et ray 110, aileron d'origine

Je confirme.
La 1ère sortie avec la 7.0m était dans 20-25nds et rafales à 30nds sur un petit clapot breton et une tenue exemplaire pour mes 75kg, ok sur la SL61 Exo, c'est plus facile.
Plus tard, le vent a baissé à 15nds et j'ai pu grader le meme combo en relachant de 2 cm à l'amure. Belle plage d'utilisation!!
