First of all, this is not my son. My son is 6 years old and I am not from the USA, I am from Russia. Here on the forum they also make homemade products, for example, loke foyle biplane (why?). And this product is interesting to me as frpgear invents new types of foil. The two-legged design is very interesting for the unstable wind that blows in my summer.

Most foil nowadays are efficient in unsteady wind provided you manage to take advantage of a gust for take off, and you are good enough to maintain flight when the wind is weak. I favor low drag foils with long wing for they have usually a better glide path. You also need to gain good speed, as kinetic enregy is what you use during the low wind periods.
Now if you have any physics that explain how this design gives better results, many here are qualified to validate (or not). For myself, and from the view you gave, I don't see any breakthrough that could generate a major leap in the foil design.

Hey Anton,

The last video is a good start to promoting your product in a way that can be percieved as "positive" by the windsurfing community. I have one sidenote though, the other foilers are on way smaller sails, or so it seems. Maybe let the expert foiler borrow the foil for a few days and write up a comparison? You seem very convinced of the FRPgear product, so that shouldn't be a problem right? Another thing you could do is send one to Eric, I think he'll happily test it and write an honest review. On top of that, if they do find some flaws (which is inevitable, independent of whether it's a good or a bad foil), you know where to go next in design.

I do testing for F-One in the Netherlands, and I think the only way to improve your product is to also let others sail it (free of charge) and let them give you feedback! I dont intend to shoot down your product, but I do want to help you create something which is a good alternative for all of us. In my opinion the more foils / producers the better, for it forces us to do our best and bring to the market a competative product. Right now the ways to see whether the FRPgear foil is competative is rather shallow.

Once again: let the expert foiler on your spot test it and write up a comparison betwedn the FRPgear and his own slingshot, that will help you a great deal, either in promotion or in R&D / improving the product!

Smart advice. If Anton is smart, he will follow it.

WhiteofHeart (?): You are falling for it. This guy (who uses multiple forum identities to promote himself) has been polluting the seabreeze forum forever. I sometimes wonder if he is related to the guy who did the same trick with his wing sails. Same "technique": absurdist claims (in that case a sail with a range of 10 to 40 knots), non existent evidence, stating that everybody else is doing the wrong thing, and multiple fake identities claiming your product is great.

I am user. I already bought a wing. Now I’m waiting for the foil that I paid for (By the way, the seller will return the money if you don’t like it on condition that you return the foil. Which companies such as starboard or Loke foil will give me the money back. I have a horue xlw wing, but it’s not enough for me to light wind with a sail 9,6). Stepan would be happy to send his foil to the tests, it would be a super objective assessment. here is his email drlunin@yahoo.com.

For me, the price for example is very important. Since of your stupid sanctions to Russia. Euro and dollar increased by 2 times and now I have to pay not 1000 euros but 2000 euros. You yourself incur losses due to sanctions. European farmers can not supply products to Russia.

Try with smaller sail, like 7.5-8.2 instead of your heavy 9.6.
Even at 90+ kg, you can fly at 7-8 knots with foils like Horue XLW. And low wind limit should be similar with LK1 1200 and some others products.

I'm quite "curious" about 9.6 sqm on frpgear. Sounds better with a SB race foil + FW board.

I know, have been following the whole thing for a while and just wanted to give some friendly advice. As you might see in my signature I have enough foils to play around with, not interested in the FRPgear at all, but I still do think everyone who is convinced of their product should be allowed the chance to prove it is really that good. The only way I see him doing that is with the advice given above.

FRP delivered the fastest foil wing I ever used. Legs may have room for improvement.
I paid $500us instead of 840 because paid in advance for 16 weeks. Everything came as promised. Workmanship and packaging acceptable. It looks as if the threaded holes are right in the plastic, but after looking more clearly visible bronze blind threaded holes 40mm deep. In short, everything looks like engineered well.
Wing span 121cm ordered separately. 121cm frp wing is noticeably thinner compared to my smaller Horue XLW and frp wing really flies faster, despite its large span. I tested on a board 160 liters, 85 wide with 8 sail. I am 80 kg. Foil took off with the wind of 8 knots.
It goes well, noticeably speedy (really fast wing), but the stability is less than SB race with fuselage 120. My FRP fuselage was 90 cm with 20cm small stabilizer. In general, my first impression is a normal foil for a realistic price, but surprisingly fast wing. FRP should be making fast wings for others foil models. Perhaps, I can say that for shallow depth this is a good foil. The main leg is only 55 cm deep. On flat water it ok. Maybe the sea version should be deeper. Unfortunately, there was a breakdown - I lost the wing 121 cm. I did not understand how. Maybe the wing was too big for my foil. I bought foil designed for a wing of 90 cm, and then I ordered a wing of 121 cm later. Perhaps they can engineer precisely for the wing size so other sizes need stronger and more expensive construction. Need to make sure the foil you buy can work with huge wing.
My board didn't get damaged. And, frp has proven to be good in refunds. I decided to return all the money and FRP refunded me the same day for the lost wing because it was under 60 days. But I lost $20 for PayPal fees because I paid for the foil long time ago. The wing could not be returned, but they believed me that it sank and all $ 280 ($180 wing + $100 shipping cost USA-Russia) was returned without questions. The rating is excellent for this Made in the USA - that is not common this days.
My summary about FRPGear Fly-Y windfoil:
1. Fully satisfied with my experience. Excellent communication. Served exactly as promised.
2. FRP wing speed is excellent, much faster than any other wing foils I used (Loke, Horue, Manta, Slingshot)
3. Stability is ok - similar to other foils with shorter fuselage, but not yet as good as SB with 120cm fuselage. Perhaps I needed more testing. I used 20cm small span stabilizer with large wing span 21 cm. Need to test with larger stab in order to conclude more accurate. And, the wind blew in gusts of 2-8 knots.
I am considering to order a custom wing from frp so I can improve speed on my SB Race. Now my idea is to combine 120cm long SB (or other long) fuselage with fast frp wings for top speed.

This guy, "Anton", is either a cheat or very delusional. He has been polluting the seabreeze and iwindsurf forum with nonsense for months, including claims that Starboard uses his products. If you have a moderator he is a good candidate to be banned because for a while his posts are amusing in their deliriousness but quickly become an annoyance.
