In my Custom WindfoilSUP board i have placed the tuttlebox 45cm from the tail (middle of box), because i think this position like in the AHD and Gong board is more "natural".
(Rear box is a powerbox).
Since the AHD foil needs a special box and the Gong foil is still under developement i'm wondering if a foil that is designed for a tuttlebox-position at the tail of the board like Horue or Makofoil would also be possible to use.
But i guess the foil would be to far in the front/middle of the board and the trimm would be difficult to master.

What do you think?

I'm afraid foils like Horue could'nt be used when shifted by more than a few centimeters (#10 to 15 cm ?) to the front of the board.
For sure it will help for the take off, but then it could be hard to stabilize, and hard in medium winds.
At least you have to think about the whole setup including straps and sail that should be shifted too.

Ouais 10-15cm dans le wind ou ils testaients les foils, le makofoil était testé avec une planche ou le box était légèrement avancé et à priori ça passait pas mal avec le Horue aussi, au moins pour le début...
