Thanks Geo for your feedback regarding '08 and '10 CA and sorry for my approximative english.
You advise the combo 58 + 66, like Vincent or Bubu and I think (I hope) it's the good choice.
I also notice you advise to use Talons in 9% thickness instead of 9,5%, even for small sizes? Stephane29, who also sails in Britanny (like me) is pleased with a Talon 32 for his CA58 2009.
Thinking it's hard to find used 9% thickness Talons (never seen or maybe sellers don't advise/know thickness when selling), I will probably search for other fins like C3 or Deboichet for 66.
I know you are selling a beautifull 66 but I don't have money to buy it before April. I hope it will not be sold so far:D

Kind regards
Vincent
Hi Vincent,
your English is far less approximative than my French!
As for the Talon fins. I have a 9.5% 36, tested it on both 66 and 58, with 7,0 sail in both cases, and didn't like it at all. Too stiff, on the 66 was loosing grip abruptly, on the 58 was too powerful and the board was out of control.
On the other hand, I had other (larger) sizes in 9.0 thickness and used them many times on the 66, I was always very happy with them. 40 with powered 7,0 is maybe a tad large, really nice with 7,6; 42 good for 7,6 if it's gusty, and 44 if you don't have a larger board + sail combo.
Therefore I decided to purchase 36 and 38 in 9.0 thickness. I had to order them directly from DP, as there is some confusion with thickness. In fact, it should be 9.0 standard from 40 and up, 9.5 for 38 and down. But I have notice of 38 in 9.0, 42 in 9.5 and even larger sizes in 9.5. Some times thickness ratio is written on the fin blade close to the base, some times not. A friend of mine who had a 9.0 38 was very happy with that; and also a 9.5 42, which he doesn't like.
Unfortunately, I still have to test my new 9.0 36 and 38; but I am 100% sure the 38 will be perfect for 66 + 7,0. I actually bought the 36 for 62 + 6,6 - 7,0, but I sold the 62 and am not sure whether I will purchase that size again (I love it, but would be a fourth board which is a bit too many); I will test it with 58 + 7,0 lighter wind.
Of course, you have to read my advice for 9.0% thickness as a very personal matter of taste; but on the other hand, I cannot advice for anything different.
