Yesterday we had a "ceremony" in the Nest hotel. It was mindblowing to here Sophie produce again all these lies. And even more shoking was to here some of the sponsors present thank them for the good job they've done so far! Kafka. Meanwhile we are still waiting for a proposal to compensate all windsurfers, this was promised to us already one week ago, but we all know by now what a promise means to this organisation.
Lucky for them there was Heidi Ulrich, otherwise they simply had nothing to talk about regarding windsurf the past 2 weeks.
All of us feel so sorry for her that she had to sail in those bad conditions, what she did was simply amazing! huge respect!
To be able to produce some more "content", there was Martin, the caddy from Tsjech windsurfer Martin Toth. He was not even in the event, but Sophie lent him some gear so he could set a national kite record, that's how it works the Luderitz record factory.
Good to know, there had never before been a claim for the Tsjech kite record!
We all had a good laugh and some beers on it in Barrels pub with the Tjsech Martins, to bad they have to leave today.
I mention this as an example how clever they play the marketing game and with all respect to Martin ofcourse, after all he said " I don't like to kite that much, I only do snowkiting in winter"
Thanx Rosi for the pix. check that chop and you know enough. For the first time ever on the canal I had a spin-out, I was lucky to recover, I can't blame the fin or board, there's a limit to what a fin can take.
Saturday they finally did what we've been asking for since 2 weeks, a grader levelled out the upwind side of the canal. Now there are 2 things left; waterlevel and that downwind sandwall. For 6 windsufers it's to late anyway.
sinon les frenchy sont arriver avec Jim, Yann, Thierry, Fonzy, Christian, Christophe....
