Premier test de la FW 100 Exocet 2010

Rapidement: une heure de nav samedi am sur le bassin d'arcachon (Pyla) dans du 12/15 noeuds (un poil plus du côté Cap Ferret).
Planche: FW Exo 2010
Voile: 11 m2 North Warp 2009
Aileron : Kashy xs

Que dire?, il n'y a qu'à reprendre les CRs de détails de Gonzalo sur le site Exo, c'est pas compliqué.
En synthèse, la planche est hyper saine, déboule au largue et au travers comme une F2 et au près fastoche comme une starboard!
C'est incroyable comme la position au largue est peu physique!!
Bon comme j'étais seul (à part un jeune en RSX), pas dur d'être champion du monde...mais la planche fait plaisir ds le sens où on ressent la perfo et l'aisance en même temps.
Petit défaut: les entrax de straps semblent petits pour mes palmes....
A approfondir avec de la concurence.

La nette différence est sur le travers et le grand largue où la planche est nettement plus facile et donc plus rapide.

Non, non, pas ressenti le besoin ds un vent aussi "light"
mais j'ai testé la position du pied à l'emplacement des 2 chickens et ça semble bien "naturel" comme position

objectif plutôt pour le light wind (pas la plage haute de la formula) en Warp 9.9 2008 pour un gabarit de 75kg pour 1m78

some word about the word after many test ans comp sessions...

I use to sail the board with a Z2s- and the evo I 11,8 and 10,7.

-Planning: I've never been so fast to keep going (background:only Starboard).Whether in super light air (11,8) and at the minimum wind for the 10,7 it has always the power you need to pump up it onto the plane.You don't need to bear off.It's particularly important while you are close to the starting line.In my opinion the big advantage of the Starboard over the past seasons was just that:it can point even at very low speed (on the opposite other boards needed to gain some speed to start pointing).With the w-100 meanwhile you are keep going you're already pointing (such autopilot feeling).It allows you to cover others as soon as you want and give 'em dirty wind (if you know what I mean!).
Plus you will notice the stifness of the carbon costruction after tacks or gybe.Maybe you've never thought how much time you spend in a comp making that...

-Upwind: As told above the board is super balanced and point as good as Starboard (for me a reference!) without problems.But,as Gonzo stated earlier this year,the VMG is higher.It happens because the board "foils" high on the water and never stuck.It seems that it doesn't care if it's flat or choppy.It flies upwind anyway.Comparing it vs PD,HWR,161,JP I can state the board has a sort of speed reserve which allows you to recover from a bad choice or a bad start.Very important thing to report is that it happens both with the 11,8 and with the 10,7!

-Downwind: Once more I have to say that I've never been as fast as now!!Still making a comparison with my old Starboard (158-159-160-161-162) I can easily say:no match! Vs the boards written above I feel the board is at least as fast as the others.... Sometime I think I'm sailing my big slalom! AND you can push it at lower angle possible without loose any speed.You have the double chicken but you really don't need it.The stance is very comfortable and if you have the right set up you can easily sail with the back leg in the straps outside (just a small complaint for the not super ergonomic sharp deck ander the heels).
Never suffered for sticking in the rear of the waves...

-Tacks and gybes: They're pretty easy.You have much less volume in the nose compared to many other boards but you won't find problem at all while tacking.Gybes are super correct in any water state.

-Handling: I want remark what kind of feeling you are going to find with the board.It's stable and balanced.More alie than a Starboard but never uncontrollable.The rails make their job but you have always the chance to quick bear off on demand.When the wind increases you probably need a less powerfull fin,lower a bit the boom but not move forward the mast base.
The board charge good the 12 and you will be more than enthusiastic when you see how few wind it requires to keep going.
The board is not tiringsome.

It seems I'm too excited... ..and I am!!
It's mostly due because the boards is giving me the chance to succeed in our regional league with one race to go (not been so competitive since 2007)
